Experience the highlight of the Elspe Festival year in 2026 – the Karl May Festival – a full-day adventure for the whole family. Experience the story of the greenhorn Charly, who arrives in the Wild West as a surveyor and, after a fierce struggle, finally becomes Winnetou's blood brother, Old Shatterhand. Join the excitement as the two fight against the brutal Santer gang, who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the legendary Apache gold treasure. In a dramatic showdown, the blood brothers confront the Santer gang at Nugget-tsil and bring about justice.
Experience a thrilling new production with 60 performers and over 40 horses on the 100-meter-wide natural stage.
